REQUIREMENTS
- South African citizen
- Code B driver’s license and own transport
- Must be willing to be available after hours and weekends
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handle all Debtors recons
- Oversee Creditors recons
- General Ledger to trial balance
- Cashbooks and recons
- VAT recons monthly
- Payroll journals and clearing accounts
- Monthly recons of Debtors.
- Monthly production figures for finance meeting
- Handling debtors’ queries
- Allocations of all customer payments and daily follow up on short payments from customers
- Assist Creditors Clerks with invoicing as required
- Budgets, cashflow projections and financial forecasting
- Trial balance and basic set up of financial reports, bank recons and other general finance admin
- Financial statements
- Assisting and play a vital supportive role to the CFO
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
- Grade 12
- Own reliable transport
- Transport and logistics knowledge
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Energetic team player
- Strong systematic work ethic
- Advanced computer literacy
- Extensive Pastel experience
- Qualified Accountant – at least B. Com Degree CA(SA), AGA, CIMA or SAIPA would be beneficial.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-articles experience.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the transport industry.
